Do I need to wear a helmet?
Yes, we require that you wear a helmet and we will provide one for you.
What is included in the tour?
The cost of our tours include a bicycle, helmet, water bottle and a tour guide who will provide some history, folklore and lots of opportunities to stop and capture the perfect picture or to just “smell the roses”.
Are we riding on bike lanes?
We have taken advantage of Toronto’s expanding network of bicycle paths and dedicated lanes to guide you through our city with ease so that you can enjoy the views. In a few areas our guides will alert riders when a bike lane and where it begins again.
Do I need to book in advance?
All of our reservations are made online in advance. You can always try your luck and show up last minute, if we have space we will include you.
What should I bring?
Bring some cash in case you see something you would like to purchase along the way. We don’t stop in shops but there may be roadside stands or market stalls in certain parts of the city where you may see something you would like to purchase. Bring your camera and sense of adventure.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel more than 24 hours ahead of your tour we will give you a full refund, otherwise we will consider you committed to the tour.
What happens if it rains?
We will ride in the rain as long as there isn’t any thunder or lightening. Dress for the weather, we will provide a light poncho for you if necessary.
Where do the tours start and finish?
All of our tours start and finish in front of the Gears Bike Shop at 500 Front Street East in the Canary District.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour departs so that we can make adjustments to your bike and complete your waiver.
What if I’m late?
Unfortunately, once our tours depart we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. We will however, do our best to include you in another tour.
What kind of bicycles do you use?
We will be riding on Cannondale Quick 6’s (city hybrid) or Giant Momentums (street bikes with a more relaxed posture). You will be given the option upon registration.
What if I haven’t biked in many years?
Our tours require basic riding ability and fitness. You can expect to be riding 10-15 minutes between stops and although we try to keep you on designated bike lanes there may be times when you are riding with traffic.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, no latex/spandex required. Bring your camera and sense of adventure.
Is there a minimum number of riders required for the tour to run?
Our maximum number is 8 riders but we have no minimum, if you’re the only cyclist then the tour will be all about you.
Will there be bathroom breaks?
Yes! Our tours are designed to include stops at restroom facilities and snack breaks.
What if I have mechanical problems?
Our guides are able to fix most mechanical issues and if we can’t fix it, a replacement bike will be delivered. Another great benefit of our relationship with Gears Bike Shop.
Do I need travel insurance?
We require you to sign a waiver before your tour. You are responsible for your own travel insurance.
